TREK: 2008 - 2009
What is TREK?
TREK is a ministry designed for junior highers. This ministry was developed by AWANA Clubs International and does continue the learning program. However, you do not need to have previously been in the AWANA program. This ministry is open to all interested junior highers at all levels of spiritual interest.
New this year is the Dashboard Series, which includes “Owner’s Manual” and “Yield.”
Nightly Schedule
6:25 - 6:40 – Recitation & Fellowship
•
Students working to complete books can recite verses to specified leaders in the small rooms.
•
This provides a quiet and undistracted time for these students.
•
Students not working on books must stay in the large room.
•
Music and snacks will be provided.
6:40 - 7:00 – Games & Mixers
7:00 - 7:20 – Large group counsel time
7:20 - 8:00 – Small group Bible study/discussion & prayer
•The small group time is the most intensive time for ministry. Ministry efforts have the greatest impact when they are done within relationship. The main activities in this time are the Bible study and prayer time. To allow these small groups to get deeper in their relationships, study of God’s word, and prayer for one another, it is best to separate these groups by gender.
Monthly Schedule

The Rules at TREK
- TREK runs from 6:30pm to 8pm on Wednesdays. Students should arrive and be picked up by a parent or be escorted by a Trek leader.
- Participation with the group is expected at all times, and everyone must comply with the ministry schedule.
- Clothing and conduct must always be respectful of others and the property. Parents will be contacted and involved in any need for discipline.
- Students should not bring gum, candy, food, or drink to the meeting unless other wise instructed. Water bottles are fine.
- Students should not bring personal communication and media devices to TREK. These items will be temporarily confiscated by TREK staff if they are distracting other students.
